The Vision Behind Blackark

Allen Mushulu's career in property was built inside global tier one firms like CBRE, JLL, and Turner & Townsend.
He learned the absolute best practices of the industry, but he knew the real work often started after hours. He spent his evenings and weekends door knocking, hunting down off market sites, running rigorous feasibilities, and advising developers on how to structure their deals.

Over that career, Allen delivered more than $2 billion in projects across NSW and Victoria — including the $1.1B One Sydney mixed-use development at Circular Quay and the $676M Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment (read the lessons from that project) — spanning land subdivisions, health, mixed-use, commercial fitout and retail.

He saw firsthand exactly where the gaps were, where developers were exposed to risk,
and how much value could be created with the right early stage strategy. He decided to take the risk, step out on his own, and build a firm that did things differently.

At Blackark, Allen brings that tier one discipline to a select group of clients with a highly agile, hands on approach.
Core to the business is expert Project and Development Management, sitting on your side of the table to systematically derisk your projects including specialist land subdivision and site acquisition. And because Blackark always adapts to its clients' needs, it has recently expanded to include an industrial and commercial construction arm, allowing a seamless transition from complex planning into physical reality.
