What does Blackark's project management service actually cover?
We run the project on your behalf, client-side: coordinating every consultant and contractor, managing procurement and contract administration, tracking programme and cost against budget, and holding quality to the standard the design intended. You get one point of accountability instead of a dozen separate relationships to manage yourself.
How is this different from a builder managing the build?
A builder is accountable for construction; we are accountable to you. We appoint and manage the builder and every other consultant on your behalf, review claims and variations independently, and make the calls a builder left to its own devices has no reason to raise. It is representation, not delivery for its own sake.
Do you manage consultants or replace them?
We manage them. Architects, engineers, planners and specialists stay in their lanes doing the work they're best at; our job is coordinating the briefs, chasing the deliverables, and making sure nothing falls into the gaps between disciplines.
How do you keep programmes on track?
A live programme reviewed on a fixed cycle, not just at kickoff: milestones tracked against actual progress, delays flagged the week they appear rather than the month they become a problem, and every party working to the same dates.
Do you offer project management on projects you didn't acquire or develop?
