What types of commercial and retail projects does Blackark build?
Commercial fitouts, retail construction, service stations and childcare centres, delivered through Blackark Developments — our commercial and industrial construction arm. Light industrial and warehouse work sits under its own dedicated service.
Do you handle base build and tenant fitout separately?
We can run either or both. Some clients need the base build and shell only, handing over to their own fitout contractor; others want the whole sequence — base build through to a tenant-ready fitout — managed under one point of accountability.
Can you manage a childcare centre or service station development end-to-end?
Yes. Both building types carry their own approval and compliance requirements on top of standard commercial construction — we manage design, approvals and construction as one sequence rather than handing the project between separate consultants at each stage.
How do you keep a retail or commercial fitout on programme for a trading date?
A programme built backward from the trading date, not forward from the start date, with long-lead items and authority sign-offs sequenced early enough that they're never the reason a store misses its opening.
Do you work directly for tenants, or only landlords/developers?
Both. We deliver base build work for landlords and developers, and fitout work directly for tenants opening a new site — including coordinating between the two when a landlord's base build and a tenant's fitout need to land on the same date.
